Le Yin Yoga est une pratique \u00e0 la fois douce et intense<\/strong>.\u00a0 C’est une ancienne pratique tao\u00efste \u00e0 l’origine appel\u00e9e \u00ab\u00e9tirement des os\u00bb<\/strong>, popularis\u00e9e par Paul Grilley<\/a>. Elle est qualifi\u00e9e de \u00abYin\u00bb, car elle sollicite les tissus profonds (fascias), les os et les articulations.\u00a0<\/p>

En maintenant les postures plusieurs minutes,<\/strong> nous parvenons \u00e0 \u00e9tirer les tissus conjonctifs, comme les ligaments et les fascias, qui ont besoin de plus de temps que les muscles pour \u00eatre \u00e9tir\u00e9s. Cette traction est stimulante pour la sant\u00e9 de nos articulations et de nos os.<\/strong><\/p>

C’est un compl\u00e9ment id\u00e9al \u00e0 une pratique plus Yang ou \u00e0 tout autre sport intense<\/strong> qui sollicite la musculature. Il est b\u00e9n\u00e9fique pour tous, mais je le recommande sp\u00e9cialement aux femmes afin de maintenir une bonne densit\u00e9 osseuse<\/strong> qui diminue avec l’\u00e2ge.<\/p>

Nous d\u00e9butons avec des respirations et un r\u00e9chauffement avant d’encha\u00eener avec les postures qui sont maintenues entre 3 et 5 minutes.<\/strong> Toutes les postures sont effectu\u00e9es au sol<\/strong> pour permettre aux muscles et au corps en entier de relaxer et pouvoir venir solliciter le bas du dos, le bassin, les hanches et toute la cha\u00eene des psoas.<\/p>

Le Yin Yoga avec son rythme lent,<\/strong> nous am\u00e8ne \u00e9galement \u00e0 rentrer en contact avec soi, \u00e0 conna\u00eetre son corps <\/strong>et \u00e0 accueillir ses limites avec bienveillance. Toujours guid\u00e9 par notre souffle, nous acc\u00e9dons rapidement \u00e0 un \u00e9tat m\u00e9ditatif.<\/strong><\/p>

Int\u00e9ress\u00e9e depuis mon plus jeune \u00e2ge par les m\u00e9decines douces et la spiritualit\u00e9, j’ai \u00e9tudi\u00e9 la danse et la musique avant de me d\u00e9couvrir une passion pour le yoga en 2001 qui m\u2019a pouss\u00e9e \u00e0 suivre une formation de professeur avec Mado St-Cyr en 2002.<\/p>\n

J’enseigne le Yoga depuis 2003 tout en poursuivant ma recherche personnelle et en me perfectionnant en participant \u00e0 des ateliers au Qu\u00e9bec, aux \u00c9-U et en Inde. Je me suis sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e en Yoga du Son avec Russill Paul<\/a> (Yoga of Sound), en Yin Yoga avec Paul Grilley<\/a> et j’ai suivi une formation en Yoga des M\u00e9ridiens.<\/p>\n

En 2005, j’ai fond\u00e9 le Studio Atma Yoga \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al o\u00f9 j’ai enseign\u00e9 jusqu’en 2015. Aujourd’hui je vis \u00e0 la campagne et j’enseigne dans mon village des Laurentides o\u00f9 j’ai ouvert en 2024 le Om Sweet Om Studio,<\/b><\/a> un espace d\u00e9di\u00e9 au bien-\u00eatre ou j’offre des cours de yoga, de chant, des retraites et des concerts kirtan.  Mon approche se veut simple et pratique afin que le plus de gens possible puissent retrouver l’acc\u00e8s au bien-\u00eatre auquel ils ont droit.
